This hub lists every page on drsinyong.com about a face that has started to sag and the lifting options for it. The two protocols Dr Sin Yong developed for descent are the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift (Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency along vertical vectors) and the Time Freeze Laser LCLR® for the skin and superficial fat layer; threads, HIFU, Thermage and fillers are compared against them honestly.

The test
Pinch, recoil and the fingertip brow lift decide the layer before any device is chosen
Start here: which lifting guide answers your question
Pick the row closest to your question. Each one points to the page to read first and the page to read next, and the last column says what decides the route. The layer that has changed decides the treatment, so the first page is usually about the concern, not the device.
Searching for one lifting treatment or one sagging concern? Each line names the search phrase and the single page on this site that answers it in full. Start there, then follow its links to the narrower guides.
Face lifting treatment: why the face sags, layer by layer, and how non-surgical lifting is matched to it.
Non-surgical facelift: what a facelift without surgery can and cannot change, compared option by option.
HIFU treatment: focused ultrasound to the SMAS and dermis, who it suits and which device.
Ultherapy: micro-focused ultrasound with imaging, and what the 4D label means.
Thermage FLX: monopolar radiofrequency for mild to moderate dermal laxity.
Skin tightening: HIFU, radiofrequency and laser compared by the layer each heats.
Thread lift: PDO, PCL and PLLA threads, what they reposition and what they cannot tighten.
Which lifting treatment suits you depends on the area and on what has changed there. The same word, sagging, covers a brow tail that has dropped, a cheek fat pad that has slid, loose skin under the chin and a band in the neck, and each answers to a different tool. The table sets each area against what usually drops, the options considered here, and the page that covers it. The options are weighed only after Dr Sin Yong has examined the face in person.

Page
Brow
The outer third of the brow, as temple tissue thins and skin loosens
Brow lift threads; botulinum toxin for a brow held down by muscle; HIFU for loosened skin
A softened line, compact fat along the jowl, masseter bulk or a short chin
VF Lift – Vertical Facelift or HIFU for laxity; the Sculpting mode of Time Freeze Laser LCLR® for compact fat; masseter injections; chin filler on bone
Most faces have more than one row. When they do, the plan is staged, usually with the deepest layer first, and each step is reviewed before the next is added. The pinch, recoil and fingertip brow tests described in face lifting treatment are how the rows are sorted at the first visit.
Lifting energies compared
Lifting energies differ in what they deliver and how deep it goes, and that decides which face each one suits. Focused ultrasound places heat at points down to the SMAS; monopolar radiofrequency heats the dermis as a volume; threads reposition tissue mechanically; laser and microwave act on the skin and the fat beneath it. None of them adds volume or removes skin. The table compares the options used at this practice.

HIFU (Ultraformer MPT)
Focused ultrasound to points at set depths, from the dermis to the SMAS at 4.5 mm
Device names that are not used here, such as Sofwave, titanium lifting and Morpheus8, are explained in honest guides, each pointing to the layer the device reaches and the option considered here instead. The detailed comparisons are listed under Comparisons below.
Newer lifting and sagging guides, October 2026
These pages were added to the lifting and sagging section in October 2026. Each one answers a narrower question than the guides listed further down, and each links back to the page that owns its topic.
Radiofrequency treatment: monopolar, bipolar, RF microneedling and body RF, explained by the layer each heats.
Fotona 4D: what the four Er:YAG and Nd:YAG modes do, and how they compare with laser lifting here.
Eyebrow lift threads: brow tail descent, and how a thread brow lift compares with botulinum toxin and HIFU.
HIFU: what to expect: numbing, mapping of zones and depths, the visit in words and the review.
Start here: lifting your own tissue. For most sagging, Dr Sin Yong leads with his own protocols, the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift and Time Freeze Laser LCLR®. Both work on your own tissue, so nothing is injected and there is no filler to overfill, migrate or form lumps. How they compare with HIFU, Thermage, threads and filler is set out in the guide to face lifting without fillers.

Frequently Asked Questions
The VF Lift – Vertical Facelift, his protocol on Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency, for fascia laxity; the Time Freeze Laser LCLR® where loose skin and a thin fat layer coexist. Threads are used where tissue has slid but the fascia is firm. The assessment, not the device, decides.
Yes, and it is compared openly with the VF Lift on the HIFU and comparison pages. The VF Lift itself does not use focused ultrasound.
