This policy explains how the clinic of Dr Sin Yong ("we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data through this website and in the course of providing medical and aesthetic services, in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Personal data we collect

• Enquiry data — name, contact number, email address and the contents of your message when you contact us through the enquiry form, WhatsApp, phone or email.
• Appointment and clinical data — information you provide when booking or attending a consultation, including relevant medical history. Clinical records are maintained under the standards applicable to licensed medical clinics in Singapore and are handled separately from website data.
• Website usage data — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through cookies and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, Ahrefs Analytics).

2. How we use personal data

• To respond to your enquiries and schedule consultations.
• To provide medical and aesthetic care and maintain proper clinical records as required by law.
• To measure how visitors find and use this website, including whether an enquiry originated from an advertisement, so we can improve our information and services.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including those of the Ministry of Health and other Singapore authorities.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use patient data for marketing without consent.

3. WhatsApp and third-party messaging

If you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their own terms and privacy policy. Please avoid sending detailed medical information or images over messaging platforms; these are better discussed at a consultation.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Ahrefs Analytics). These tools collect aggregated usage information and, where applicable, an advertising click identifier. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; the website remains usable with cookies disabled.

5. Disclosure of personal data

We disclose personal data only: to service providers who support the operation of this website and our clinic systems, under obligations of confidentiality; where required or permitted by law or by a regulatory authority; or with your consent. Clinical information is shared with other healthcare providers only with your consent or as permitted under Singapore law.

We take reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure or similar risks. Personal data is retained only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law — medical records are retained in accordance with Singapore's requirements for medical record-keeping.

7. Access, correction and withdrawal of consent

Under the PDPA you may request access to or correction of your personal data, or withdraw consent to its collection, use or disclosure (subject to legal and contractual limits — withdrawing consent for clinical data may affect our ability to provide care). We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this address, with the date of the last update shown above.
