Every clinic should have a clear way to raise a concern, and the Ministry of Health expects one. This page sets out how to give feedback about a visit, a result or anything else at Dr Sin Yong’s practice at Orchard Road, Singapore, what happens once you have, and where to turn if you are not satisfied with the answer.

How to raise a concern

Use whichever is easiest:

Include your name, the date of the visit and what you would like looked at. If it is about a result, a photograph taken in daylight without make-up helps the first reply.

What happens next

  1. Acknowledgement. The team confirms it has been received, within clinic hours.
  2. Review by Dr Sin Yong. He reads the notes and photographs from the visit himself. He performs every treatment personally, so there is no hand-off.
  3. A reply, and a visit if needed. For a clinical concern — swelling, asymmetry, a result that is not what you expected — a review visit is offered so the area can be examined, not judged from a message. Some changes are part of healing and need time; some need an adjustment; the review tells the two apart.
  4. A written note of the outcome on request.

If you are not satisfied

You are free to take the matter outside the clinic at any point:

What the clinic does with feedback

Concerns are logged and reviewed, and they shape how things are done: the written fee breakdown given after every assessment, the how-we-quote page, the aftercare pages and the review visits built into each plan all came from questions patients raised. Positive feedback is welcome too; the clinic does not ask for or script reviews.

Frequently Asked Questions

Message the clinic on WhatsApp at +65 8023 7170 or email dr.sinyong@gmail.com with your name, the date of the visit and what happened. Dr Sin Yong reviews every concern himself and will reply within clinic hours, usually the same day, and will offer a review visit where a clinical question is involved.
You can take the matter to the Ministry of Health through its feedback channel, or, where it concerns a doctor's professional conduct, to the Singapore Medical Council, which has a complaints process. Both are independent of the clinic and their details are on this page.
No. A concern raised in good faith is treated as clinical information: it is the quickest way to find out whether a result needs a review, an adjustment or simply time. It does not change how you are looked after.
Yes. If you have had treatment elsewhere and want it reviewed, see the second-opinion page. If you have had treatment here and want another doctor's view, ask, and your records will be released to you or to the doctor you name.
