Case images:
pre-treatment photographs

Medically reviewed by Dr Sin Yong · Last reviewed · 7 min read

Singapore's advertising rules for licensed healthcare services do not permit a clinic to show a patient's appearance after treatment, so this gallery works differently from most. Each case shows the pre-treatment photograph, with the post-treatment frame blurred. The images are here so that you can recognise your own pattern of concern, a jowl, a scar type, a hollow, a pigment pattern, and see which protocol was assessed as fitting it. They are not a promise of what you would look like; that question is answered in person, after an examination.

Every photograph is of a real patient treated by Dr Sin Yong, published with consent and for an explanatory purpose: to show the starting point a protocol was chosen for. Reading a case means looking at the pre-treatment image and asking whether the pattern resembles yours, not inferring an outcome from a blurred frame. Response to any treatment varies with anatomy, skin type, age and healing, and no case here describes what another person will experience.

If a case looks like you, say so when you enquire and bring the question to the consultation. Dr Sin Yong examines the area, explains what is driving it and sets out the realistic options, including waiting or no treatment. Photographs taken at that visit are kept for your medical record and are not used to advertise. Fees are quoted in writing after assessment, and the editorial policy explains how images on this site are handled.

Frequently asked questions

Singapore's advertising rules for licensed healthcare services do not permit a clinic to show a patient's appearance after treatment. Each case therefore shows the pre-treatment photograph with the post-treatment frame blurred. The images are there so you can recognise your own pattern of concern and see which protocol was assessed as fitting it, not to infer an outcome.

Say so when you enquire and bring the question to the consultation. Dr Sin Yong examines the area, explains what is driving it and sets out the realistic options, including waiting or no treatment.
