Aesthetic procedures in Singapore: how this menu is organised

Aesthetic procedures in Singapore range from injectables and lasers to energy-based lifting and body contouring. This menu lists every treatment Dr Sin Yong performs, grouped by what it is directed at (lifting, skin and lasers, scars, fillers and injectables, hair, body) and by the concern it answers. Start from the concern on all concerns if you do not yet know the treatment name; the seven signature pairings are the ones used most.

Start with the seven he treats most

Every treatment below is performed by Dr Sin Yong personally. These seven pairings are the ones that fill most of his week.

Choosing an aesthetic treatment by concern

Start from the concern, not the device name. Loose skin and jowls point to lifting: energy-based protocols such as VF Lift – Vertical Facelift on Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency, Time Freeze Laser LCLR®, HIFU or a thread lift. Hollowness and lost structure point to volume restoration with fillers or collagen stimulators.

Pigment, dullness, redness, pores and texture sit with skin and laser treatments, matched to the layer affected. Pitted acne scars call for scar reconstruction, often combining laser resurfacing, subcision and TCA Cross. Stubborn fat and loose skin on the tummy, arms or thighs belong to body sculpting, such as the radiofrequency-only 4K Body Lift. Thinning hair starts with a diagnosis, then medical treatment and laser stimulation.

Many faces have more than one driver, and the assessment decides which to address first. Where surgery would serve you better, referral to a plastic surgery specialist is discussed.

Aesthetic treatments by recovery: what to expect afterwards

Recovery after aesthetic treatments ranges from nothing visible to a visible healing phase, and it is often the deciding factor when people plan around work or an event. This table groups the treatments on this menu by what the skin usually looks like afterwards. It describes patterns, not timetables; how quickly each settles depends on the person, the area and the settings, and is discussed at consultation.

GroupExamplesWhat is usually seen afterwards
Laser lifting protocolTime Freeze Laser LCLR®No redness, no downtime
Energy-based lifting and tighteningVF Lift – Vertical Facelift, HIFU, Ultherapy, Thermage FLXSome redness or tenderness that settles; occasional swelling
InjectablesFillers, botulinum toxin, skin boostersSmall marks at injection points, possible bruising and swelling
Non-ablative and pigment lasersFSX Laser, pico laser, laser toningRedness and warmth; treated spots may darken and flake
Resurfacing and scar treatmentS3 Resurfacing Lift, RF microneedling, subcision, TCA CROSSA visible healing phase: redness, swelling, crusting or flaking

Recovery is one factor, not the deciding one. A treatment with little visible recovery is not the right choice if it does not address the cause, and the plan for an event is built backwards from the date. For how each treatment is matched to a concern, use the treatment finder; for what happens at the first visit, see the consultation process.

Every treatment on this menu is performed by Dr Sin Yong after an in-person assessment, and the written plan states what recovery to expect for the treatments chosen.

Aesthetic treatments: common questions

Which aesthetic treatments have the least recovery?

Time Freeze Laser LCLR® is described as no redness, no downtime. Energy-based lifting and most injectables usually leave mild redness, small marks or possible bruising that settle. Resurfacing lasers and scar treatments have a visible healing phase. The right choice still depends on the cause of your concern, which is decided at assessment.

Can several aesthetic treatments be done in one visit?

Sometimes. Treatments that act on different layers, such as lifting and skin quality, are often planned together, but not every combination suits the same day. Order and spacing depend on the treatments, the area and your skin. The written plan sets out which steps are combined and which are spaced apart.

What decides the cost of aesthetic treatments in Singapore?

Fees follow the plan: the treatment chosen, the areas treated, the product or device used, the doctor’s time and any review visits. Singapore’s rules prevent clinics from advertising prices, so a written quote is given after assessment. How fees are set out is explained on the how we quote page.

What are aesthetic treatments?

Aesthetic treatments are medical procedures that change how the skin, face, body or hair look, without open surgery. They include injectables such as fillers, botulinum toxin and skin boosters; lasers; radiofrequency and ultrasound devices; and procedures such as subcision and thread lifts. In Singapore, injectables and prescription treatments must be given by a doctor.

Which aesthetic treatments are most often asked about in Singapore?

Non-surgical lifting (HIFU, radiofrequency and laser tightening), dermal fillers and filler correction, botulinum toxin, pigmentation and melasma treatment, acne scar treatment, skin boosters and hair loss treatment. Which one suits you depends on the cause of the concern, which is why every plan here starts with an assessment.

Who should perform aesthetic treatments in Singapore?

A doctor registered with the Singapore Medical Council for anything injected, prescribed or done with medical-grade lasers and energy devices. You can check registration on the SMC register. At this clinic every aesthetic treatment is performed by Dr Sin Yong personally.

Are aesthetic treatments safe?

Every aesthetic treatment carries risks as well as benefits, and these depend on the treatment, the product or device, the settings and the person treated. Using HSA-registered products, a doctor who examines you first, and a clear plan for complications all reduce risk. The specific risks are explained at consultation before anything is done.

How do I choose the right aesthetic treatment?

Start from the concern and its cause rather than a device name. Sagging, volume loss, pigment and texture each need different approaches, and the same complaint can have different causes in different people. A consultation that examines the face or skin first, and includes no treatment as an option, is the most reliable starting point.
