Time Freeze results are not a single moment. Collagen contracts during the session and goes on remodelling afterwards, and where the Sculpting mode is used, excess is reduced gradually rather than on the day. What changes, and how much, depends on your face. This page explains the process, what decides the response and how Dr Sin Yong reviews it, without photographs or promises.
Part of Time Freeze Laser LCLR® →
Time Freeze results follow from what the protocol does. LCLR® stands for Laser Collagen Lipo Remodelling, and the name describes its two actions: collagen remodelling for laxity, and lipo-remodelling, in which the Sculpting mode uses controlled bulk heating on compact fat or settled product in zones Dr Sin Yong selects. The long-pulsed 755 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths are used together, heating the superficial, mid and deep dermis in the same session.
What follows happens in stages:
The protocol is also directed at skin quality: fine lines, pore size and texture. Where descended tissue is tightened, nearby hollows can look less deep, because the shadow came from descent; the need for filler is then reassessed once the tissue has responded, case by case. Time Freeze adds no product, so what changes is your own tissue.
Time Freeze before and after photographs are a common search, and this site does not show them, in keeping with Singapore's rules on medical advertising. There are clinical reasons for caution too. Light, camera angle, head position, expression, make-up and small changes in weight alter the jawline and neck more than most energy treatments do, so an image of someone else's face says little about yours.
What matters is your own record. At consultation, photographs are taken for your medical record, not for advertising, and at review the face is photographed and compared like with like. That comparison, together with Dr Sin Yong's examination of each zone, is the fair test of what Time Freeze did for you. If you are weighing laser lifting elsewhere, ask which laser was used, which zones were treated with which mode, and who performed it.
“The warmth on the day is the laser working, not the result. I read the result at review, zone by zone, against the record we took before we started.”
Dr Sin YongOn Time Freeze results
Time Freeze results are decided mostly by the face being treated and the choices made for it. The table sets out the factors that matter.

| Factor | Why it matters | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Degree of laxity | Tightening has a ceiling set by how much excess there is | Mild to moderate laxity responds; marked skin excess is beyond a laser |
| Which layer is at fault | A sag can be laxity, compact fat, settled product or lost volume | The laser answers the first three; lost volume needs a different mechanism |
| Fat in each zone | The Sculpting mode takes away excess, which a lean area does not have | Lean zones are left alone or planned with the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift |
| Earlier filler or fat graft | Material on the map changes where energy is directed | Ultrasound mapping first; hyaluronic acid is usually dissolved |
| Skin type and sun exposure | The 755 nm wavelength is absorbed by melanin | Settings are adjusted for darker skin; sun protection protects the response |
| Weight stability and ageing | Gain stretches tissue; loss empties it; the face keeps ageing | A stable weight and daily sunscreen protect what remodelling achieves |
Operator decisions run through every row. Dr Sin Yong calibrates wavelength, fluence and vector zone by zone in response to the tissue, rather than applying one preset across the face.
When someone sees little change after laser lifting, the reason is usually one of these:
The honest answer to whether Time Freeze will help is given before treatment, at assessment; see Time Freeze Laser LCLR® suitability.
The review is timed to the tissue response. Dr Sin Yong examines each zone again, compares it with your record photographs, and where filler or fat graft was targeted maps any remaining excess with ultrasound. Three questions guide it:
The answers lead to different next steps: nothing further for now, another zone or pass, the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift alongside, filler as needed but sparingly, or referral for a surgical opinion. A repeat is one possible outcome of a review, not its purpose. No duration is promised: how long any change lasts depends on your skin, the zones treated, ageing, sun exposure and weight. What to report between visits is on Time Freeze Laser LCLR® aftercare.

WhatsApp Dr Sin Yong →or use the enquiry formGradually. Collagen contracts during the session, and new collagen forms and remodels afterwards, so the change develops over time rather than on the day. Where the Sculpting mode was used on compact fat or settled filler, reduction is gradual too. The review is timed to the tissue response, and the face is compared with your record photographs then.
The treated zones feel warm during the session, and there is no redness and no downtime afterwards. Collagen contraction begins during the visit, but the change Time Freeze is planned for comes from remodelling that follows. It is judged at review, not in the mirror on the way home.
In selected zones, yes, that is what the Sculpting mode is directed at: compact superficial fat along the jowl, under the chin or beside the nasolabial fold, through controlled bulk heating. How much changes varies between people. Thick fat pads and fat beyond the reach of a surface laser are planned differently, and a lean area is left alone.
No duration can be promised. The collagen laid down ages with the rest of the face, and sun exposure, weight change and time all play a part. Daily sunscreen and a stable weight protect what remodelling has achieved. Whether further treatment is useful is decided at review, according to how the skin has responded, not to a fixed schedule.
Report it. Where the Sculpting mode was used, more loss of fat in a zone than intended is a rare risk. A photograph in daylight helps. The zone is examined at the clinic, and where support has been lost the Restore mode of the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift is the approach Dr Sin Yong usually discusses.
