Rejuran Healer is the standard facial preparation in the Rejuran range: polynucleotide purified from salmon DNA at roughly 20 mg/mL, injected into the dermis as a field of micro-injections across the face. It is directed at skin texture, fine lines and elasticity, and at the quality of post-acne skin. It adds no volume, does not lift and does not remove pigment. Dr Sin Yong assesses and injects it personally.

Rejuran Healer is the whole-face, mid-viscosity choice in the Rejuran range, sitting between the thicker Rejuran S for scarred skin and the thinner Rejuran I for the eye area. It is for skin that repairs poorly, with uneven texture, fine lines or post-acne quality, not for hollows or sagging. Fish allergy, pregnancy, infection and keloid tendency are checked before it is offered.
Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide skin booster. The active material is long chains of nucleotides purified from salmon DNA, filtered and sterilised so that what is injected is the polymer and not genetic information. In Healer the concentration is approximately 20 mg/mL, which is why the product is often described as 2 per cent, and the chains span a molecular weight range of roughly 50 to 1,500 kDa. The preparation is a clear, viscous gel, thicker than a hyaluronic acid skin booster but thinner than a filler, and it has a slightly tacky feel that is familiar to anyone who has handled it.

Two terms get mixed up. PN denotes polynucleotide, the longer-chain material in the Rejuran range; PDRN denotes polydeoxyribonucleotide, shorter fragments of the same family used in other preparations. Products built on each are not the same product, a distinction set out on the PN vs PDRN guide.
It is not a filler. Nothing in the syringe is engineered to occupy space or hold a contour. Polynucleotides act on the repair environment of the dermis: an influence on fibroblast activity and matrix turnover, and signalling through adenosine A2A receptor pathways, which is also how the anti-inflammatory effect is described. What is being bought is a signal to the tissue, delivered where the tissue can act on it.
Healer is the whole-face preparation, and the complaints it is directed at are dermal-quality complaints: skin that has become thin, dull or crepey; fine lines that show at rest; elasticity that has slackened; and the texture left behind by acne once the active inflammation has settled. The appearance of enlarged pores belongs here too, not because anything shrinks a pore, which is a fixed opening, but because surface texture and dermal support decide how strongly a pore contrasts with the skin around it.

It is not for a hollow or a deficient contour, which is a structural problem needing material engineered to stay where it is put. It is not for melasma, sun-induced marks or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which are chromophore problems addressed with light-based and topical approaches. It does not lift a jawline, and it does not release a tethered scar.
“Rejuran Healer is a signal to the skin to repair, not a material that holds a shape. If what you want is a contour, I will say so and plan something else, because injecting the wrong thing well is still the wrong thing.”

The three share the same polynucleotide; what changes is viscosity and therefore where the material can sensibly be placed. Healer is the mid-viscosity preparation spread across a field of skin. Rejuran S is thicker and is placed into and around scars rather than spread, as the skin-quality component of a wider acne scar plan. Rejuran I is thinner, for the fragile periorbital skin where a thicker gel would sit visibly.
| Preparation | Viscosity | Where it is placed | Directed at | Cannot do |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rejuran Healer | Mid | Intradermally across the face in a distributed pattern | Texture, fine lines, elasticity, post-acne skin quality | Add volume, lift, clear pigment |
| Rejuran S | High | Into and around scarred skin | The skin-quality component of acne scarring | Release a tethered scar or resurface a fixed-wall scar |
| Rejuran I | Low | Thin periorbital skin | Fine lines and crepey under-eye skin, once the cause is diagnosed | Correct hollowing, shadow or herniated fat |
| Rejuran HB | Mid, with hyaluronic acid | Intradermally | Skin needing both a repair signal and hydration | Replace a filler or a structural treatment |
Healer is also the preparation most people mean by a "Rejuran facial", a phrase that describes whole-face micro-injection by a doctor, not a facial in the spa sense. The owner page on Rejuran in Singapore explains the range in full and how it sits against Profhilo, hyaluronic acid boosters and biostimulators.
The visit begins with examination, not with the syringe. Dr Sin Yong looks at the skin under good light and under stretch, sorts a post-acne face into its components, and decides whether the complaint is skin quality, which a polynucleotide addresses, or structure, which it does not. Fish allergy, pregnancy and keloid history are confirmed at the same time.

Topical anaesthetic is applied and left to take effect. The face is cleaned and the material is placed intradermally in a distributed pattern of micro-injections, by fine needle or by an injector device that deposits small volumes at a set depth; which is used depends on the area. The pattern is a grid of closely spaced points across the cheeks, temples, forehead and jawline, with the under-eye handled separately with the thinner preparation. Each point raises a small papule or wheal as the gel sits in the dermis. That is the expected appearance, not a complication, and it is the reason the visit is usually timed when nothing important follows the same evening.
Dr Sin Yong performs the injections himself after in-person assessment. He often pairs Healer with a resurfacing session or with RF microneedling, placing the repair signal where the skin has been asked to heal; whether and in what order is decided at review, not in advance.
Treatment is planned individually, so the plan follows the examination rather than a published package. The factors Dr Sin Yong weighs at consultation are:
A figure quoted before examination would not reflect the person's skin, which is why cost is set out at consultation and not on this page.
The papules settle as the material is taken up, and the skin looks ordinary again as they do. Bruising is possible, more so where vessels are superficial, and fades on its own. For the first evening make-up, heat, alcohol and vigorous exercise are avoided and a cool compress eases swelling; after that a plain barrier-supporting routine is usually all that is asked for. The full day-by-day guidance is on the skin booster aftercare page.
What warrants prompt review rather than waiting: pain that increases instead of settling, spreading redness and warmth, swelling that does not subside, or a lump that persists once the papules have gone. Nodules can occur where material is deposited unevenly or too superficially, and infection is uncommon but possible with any needle through skin. Allergic reaction is rare, which is why fish allergy is asked about rather than assumed absent.
Any change in texture and hydration develops gradually rather than on the day; the early papules are not the result. The plan and any intervals are set at review.

When people say a Rejuran facial or Rejuran injections they usually mean Healer. Rejuran S is thicker for scarred skin, Rejuran I thinner for the under-eye, and Rejuran HB combines polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid.
No. Nothing in the syringe is engineered to occupy space or hold a contour. Polynucleotides act on the repair environment of the dermis, influencing fibroblast activity and signalling through adenosine receptor pathways. A hollow or a deficient contour is a structural problem that needs a different material, and a face that wants both is planned as two decisions.
Topical anaesthetic is applied first. The material is placed in a grid of closely spaced intradermal micro-injections by fine needle or an injector device, and each point raises a small papule that settles as the gel is taken up. Most people describe pinpricks and a mild sting rather than pain; bruising is possible and fades on its own.
Rejuran is registered with Singapore's Health Sciences Authority as an injectable medical device and is given by a doctor with sterile technique. The expected effects are local: papules, swelling, tenderness and bruising. Nodules and infection are uncommon; allergic reaction is rare, which is why fish allergy is checked first. It is not used in pregnancy, while breastfeeding or through active infection.
Yes, and Dr Sin Yong often pairs it with a resurfacing or RF microneedling session so that the repair signal is placed where the skin has been asked to heal. Whether to combine, and in what order, is decided at assessment and reviewed after the first visit rather than fixed in advance.
