For focused ultrasound down to the SMAS rather than radiofrequency, see Ultherapy Singapore.
Main guide Thermage Singapore — what it treats, who it suits, sessions, downtime and what decides the cost, by Dr Sin Yong.

Thermage FLX needs little aftercare. Most people return to normal activity the same day with gentle skincare and sunscreen. Redness and mild swelling settle within hours, or a day or two around the eyes. Avoid heat-based treatments for a few days, let the skin be, and judge the change over months rather than days.
| When | Expected | Do | Avoid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Same day | Redness and warmth for hours; mild swelling | Cool compress; gentle skincare | Hot showers on the face; alcohol; pressing |
| Days 1–3 | Occasional small bumps or tenderness | SPF 50; moisturiser; usual routine without actives | Retinoids, acids, scrubs; sauna |
| Week 1–4 | Skin normal; early tightening in some | Resume everything; first review | Other heat treatments on the same area |
| Months 2–6 | Tightening develops as collagen remodels | Review at 12 weeks | Judging before 3 months |
General guidance; the written aftercare you receive from the clinic takes precedence. Message +65 8023 7170 if anything on the red list above appears.
This table sets Thermage FLX aftercare out by phase: straight after treatment while the skin is warm and pink, the early phase while any grid marks or eyelid puffiness settle, and the settling phase while collagen contracts and remodels. Each row lists what is expected, what to do, what to avoid and the signs that mean you should send a photograph.
| Phase | What is expected | What to do | What to avoid | Message or call if |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Straight after | Warmth, pinkness and slight swelling; a faint grid where the tip was placed; puffiness after eyelid treatment | Gentle cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen; cool compresses around the eyes; ordinary activity | Saunas, steam, hot yoga and heat-based facials; rubbing the treated skin; retinoids and exfoliating acids while there is redness | A blister; a raised welt or linear mark that does not flatten; marked or one-sided swelling |
| Early phase | Pinkness and any grid fading; eyelid swelling easing; mild tenderness on touch | Make-up on calm skin; sunscreen every morning; walking and ordinary exercise once the skin is no longer warm | Hot environments; other energy devices or injectables over the area unless spaced in your plan; strong exfoliants; pressing on a tender area | A small blister, crust or dark mark, which should be photographed rather than picked; numbness or tingling that persists; a dent or hollow |
| Settling | Skin looks ordinary; the collagen response develops gradually beneath it | Daily sun protection and a simple routine; attend the review before any further step is planned | Judging the change in the early phase; combining with injectables or devices on your own timetable rather than the one set in your plan | A firm or raised area; a patch that stays red far longer than the rest; a change in contour that worries you |
The pinkness, grid and lid puffiness are pictured on Thermage downtime; the uncommon effects are on Thermage side effects; who should wait is on Thermage suitability.

Expect warmth, redness and slight swelling. Cleanse gently, moisturise, and apply sunscreen before going outside. Cool compresses help after eyelid treatment. Paracetamol is usually enough if the skin feels tender.
Avoid saunas, steam, hot yoga and heat-based facials for a few days, and pause retinoids or exfoliating acids for two or three days or until any redness has gone. Make-up is usually fine from the next day. If a small blister, crust or dark mark appears, do not pick it; send a photograph.
Radiofrequency works through collagen contraction and remodelling, which develops over months. Daily sunscreen and a simple routine support the skin. Any combination with injectables or other devices is spaced as set out in your plan.
Questions after treatment come back through WhatsApp at +65 8023 7170 during clinic hours (Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm, Saturday 11am to 3pm, Singapore time). Anything that is getting worse rather than better, a blister or open area, or fever needs to be seen the same day, wherever you are.
Usually from the next day.
Light exercise is usually fine the same day; avoid hot environments for a few days.
Yes, it can last a day or two and is eased by cool compresses.
