Removing fat from a round face can sharpen the cheek and jaw. The catch is that the face keeps losing volume with age on its own, so an area that looked sculpted at thirty can look hollow or gaunt at forty. The fat that was removed cannot be put back, but lean areas can be supported.
Buccal fat sits deep in the cheek; face liposuction removes fat closer to the surface. In a full, young face the change can look like definition. The face then continues to lose volume through the thirties and forties, and the reserve that would have softened that change is gone. The result can be a hollow below the cheekbone, a tired look, or a lower face that looks older than the rest.
VF Lift – Vertical Facelift is the protocol Dr Sin Yong uses for a lean or already hollow face. It lifts where tissue has descended and restores lean, hollow areas by stimulating the fat’s own regenerative capacity, without injections. It does not use focused ultrasound, which reduces fat and would deepen hollows.
Where more volume is needed, hyaluronic acid filler or collagen stimulators can be placed conservatively, and fat grafting is a surgical option with its own uncertainty about how much survives. Each is discussed after an assessment of how much volume has been lost and where.
Further fat-reducing treatments in an already lean face, including focused ultrasound lifting. And over-correcting with filler, which can tip a hollow face into a heavy one. More on that balance is on pillow face.
“Fat that has been removed is not coming back. The plan is about supporting what is there, not chasing what was taken.”

Not directly. The removed fat cannot be put back. Lean areas can be supported and restored, and volume can be added where needed.
Usually not. Focused ultrasound reduces fat and can deepen hollows; in a lean face Dr Sin Yong uses VF Lift instead.
Sometimes, in conservative amounts. Too much filler can turn a hollow face into a heavy one.
No. He assesses and treats the after-effects without surgery.
