Thermage FLX cost in Singapore is set mainly by the single-use tip the plan needs, face, eye or body, and the pulses it carries, together with the areas treated, any combination with another protocol and the review. Singapore's rules restrict fee advertising, so no figure appears here. Dr Sin Yong examines the face first and gives a written, itemised quote on Orchard Road.

Why is there no Thermage figure on this page?

Singapore's rules on medical advertising restrict how doctors publish fees, and a figure given before an examination would describe a plan that does not exist yet. Thermage FLX is monopolar radiofrequency at 6.78 MHz, made by Solta Medical: a single-use tip heats the deep dermis and fibrous septae in bulk while cryogen spray cools the surface, so collagen contracts and remodels gradually. Whether that is the right mechanism for your laxity, and which tip and areas it needs, is decided at examination.

The quote is therefore written and itemised after the consultation, and it can be taken home. The consultation is a medical visit with its own fee, stated when you book, and it can end with the advice that Thermage is not the right tool, for example where the heaviness comes from fat or a hollow cheek. The practice-wide rules are on how fees are quoted; this page applies them to one platform.

The Thermage FLX tip and its pulses: the main fee driver

Every Thermage FLX treatment uses a new, single-use tip, and the tip chosen for the area, with the pulses it carries, is the largest single line on the quote. The face tip, the eye tip and the body tip differ in size and in the number of pulses they hold, so a plan for the eyelids alone, the face alone, or the face and eyes together opens different consumables.

TipAreasDirected atEffect on the plan
Face tipCheeks, jowls and jawlineMild to moderate laxity of the skin envelope in a face that has kept its volumeThe usual starting point; the area marked decides how the pulses are spread
Eye tipUpper and lower lids, with protective eye shields placed after anaesthetic dropsCrepey lid skin and mild hooding from lax lid skinA separate tip, itemised whether used alone or alongside the face tip
Body tipAbdomen, arms and thighsLoose skin across a large surface after pregnancy or weight changeA body plan; fat as the main concern is costed under another protocol

The FLX platform uses a larger 4.0 cm² face tip than the earlier Thermage CPT, so each pulse covers more skin. A 2020 survey of 52 Korean dermatologists using Thermage FLX reported that most preferred the 4 cm² total tip, and that skin thickness was regarded as the main determinant of how a face responds. That is one reason the examination, not the tip, comes first. When comparing quotes, confirm that the device is Thermage FLX, which tip is included, how many pulses it carries, and that the tip is new and single-use.

“The tip is the consumable, not the plan. If the heaviness is fat or a hollow, the right Thermage quote is none.”

Dr Sin YongOn how Thermage is quoted

Areas treated and what the examination finds

The areas on a Thermage plan, and whether Thermage is on the plan at all, follow what Dr Sin Yong finds when he separates laxity from volume loss and fat, with ultrasound where earlier filler or a biostimulator is involved. Thermage acts on the skin envelope and nothing else, so a finding in the fat or the deeper planes changes the plan and therefore the quote.

Face, eyes and the neck

The face and the eyes are the areas Thermage FLX is used for here, alone or together. The neck is examined separately even when both are treated in one visit, and for a lax neck Dr Sin Yong uses the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift and Time Freeze Laser LCLR® instead, as set out on the owner page. Fullness under the chin that is fat is assessed as a double chin question, and vertical neck bands are muscle, which radiofrequency does not relax. For the lids, a 2025 study of 14 Asian patients treated with a small monopolar radiofrequency eyelid tip reported upper-lid tightening without adverse events; it used a different small-tip device, and it did not address heaviness from the brow or a fat bag, which is why those are sorted at examination first.

Findings that change the quote

Passes, physician time and the review

Thermage FLX is delivered in several lower-energy passes, with the energy adjusted to your report of heat, and Dr Sin Yong performs every pass himself. That physician time is part of the fee. The method has a basis in the literature: a 2007 survey of 5,700 monopolar radiofrequency treatments compared the original single high-energy pass with a lower-energy, multiple-pass technique guided by the patient's heat sensation, and found that far fewer patients rated the multiple-pass technique too painful.

FLX adds real-time energy tuning to the doctor's adjustment, with cooling and vibration on each pulse. Some people prefer topical numbing cream beforehand, and for the eye tip contact lenses are removed and the eye is shielded. None of this is an optional extra; it is how the treatment is done.

The review is written into the plan. Collagen remodelling continues after treatment, so the response is read once new collagen has had time to form rather than in the mirror on the way home, and any repeat is decided at review from a fresh examination rather than sold in advance as a course. What is normal afterwards is on Thermage aftercare, and what warrants a call on Thermage side effects.

Thermage or another option: how the choice changes the quote

Thermage FLX heats the skin envelope in bulk; focused ultrasound places points at depth down to the SMAS; Dr Sin Yong's protocols address laxity that comes with fullness or hollowing. Because he performs each of these, the plan follows the layer that has let go, and each part of a combined plan is itemised.

When comparing Thermage quotes, ask who examines and who performs it, which tip and pulse count are included, which areas are covered, and whether review is part of the plan. Not on a quote here: packages sold on the day, promotions, incentives for reviews or referrals, or any area the examination does not support. The assessment takes place at the clinic on Orchard Road, Singapore, and the two radiofrequency platforms are compared on Thermage FLX vs Volnewmer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Singapore's rules restrict fee advertising, so no Thermage figure is given here. The fee depends on the Thermage FLX tip the plan needs and the pulses it carries, the areas treated, whether Thermage is combined with another protocol, and the review. Dr Sin Yong gives a written, itemised quote after examining you, and the consultation also decides whether Thermage is advised at all.

Thermage FLX cost is decided mainly by the single-use tip, face, eye or body, and the pulses it carries, then by the areas treated, the physician time for several lower-energy passes, any combination with the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift or another protocol, and the review. Each line is itemised on the written quote, so two plans can be compared tip by tip and area by area.

Thermage quotes usually differ because they describe different things: a different tip or pulse count, fewer areas, an older platform or a different radiofrequency device altogether, a session performed by someone other than a doctor, or no review visit. Confirm that the device is Thermage FLX, which tip is included and whether it is new and single-use, then compare what each quote contains.

Thermage for the eyes uses a separate, smaller single-use eye tip, so it is itemised as its own line whether it is used alone or alongside the face tip. Whether the eye tip is costed at all depends on the examination, because a descended brow, a fat bag behind the lower lid or a weak lid muscle is not something heat in the lid skin can change.

Thermage FLX can be worth considering when the laxity is in the skin itself, in a face that has kept its volume, and for crepey eyelid skin with the eye tip. It is the wrong spend when the heaviness comes from fat, a hollow cheek, a descended brow or folds of skin. Change builds gradually and varies between people, so the examination comes before any fee is discussed.

Not at this practice. Thermage FLX is quoted after examination as a written, itemised plan, with no packages sold on the day, no promotions and no incentives for reviews or referrals. A package fixed in advance cannot reflect which tip, which areas or whether Thermage suits your face, and the consultation may conclude that a different protocol, or no treatment, is the right course.

Yes. The consultation is a medical visit with its own fee, stated when you book, and it does not oblige you to proceed. Dr Sin Yong examines the face, separates laxity from volume loss and fat, uses ultrasound where earlier filler is involved, and explains which mechanism fits. The written Thermage quote follows the examination and can be taken home to consider.
