Ultherapy cost in Singapore is set by the plan the examination produces: which zones are lax, which transducer depths the DeepSEE image shows each zone can take, how many lines that calls for, physician time, any combination and the review. Singapore's rules restrict fee advertising, so no figure appears here. Dr Sin Yong gives a written, itemised quote after examining you on Orchard Road.
Part of Ultherapy Singapore →
Singapore's rules on medical advertising restrict how doctors publish fees, and a number given before an examination would describe a plan that does not yet exist. Ultherapy is micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation: the handpiece images the tissue, then places small coagulation points at a set depth so that lax tissue contracts and remodels. How many zones need it, and how deep each zone can safely be treated, is something only an examination and the image can establish.
So the quote is built after assessment rather than taken from a menu. It is written and itemised, it can be taken home, and no decision is asked for at the first visit. The consultation itself is a medical visit with its own fee, stated when you book, and it can end with the advice that Ultherapy is not the right mechanism for your face. The practice-wide rules are on how fees are quoted, and focused ultrasound in general, including non-imaging HIFU, is costed on HIFU cost in Singapore. This page applies the same rules to one platform.
An Ultherapy plan is built zone by zone, and each zone is planned from the depth the DeepSEE image shows, at 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm or 4.5 mm, with the deepest reaching the SMAS. That is the part of the quote that varies most between two faces. A brow, a lower face, a neck, or a full face and neck are different undertakings, with different transducers and a different number of lines.

| Zone | Depths usually considered | What the image can change | Effect on the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brow and forehead | Shallower depths; there is little SMAS above the brow | Thinner tissue than expected means a shallower transducer or the zone left out | Usually a smaller zone with fewer deep lines |
| Lower face and jawline | 4.5 mm at the SMAS where the image shows enough depth, with 3.0 mm above | On a full cheek the 4.5 mm focus may land in fat, so the plan is adjusted | Often two depths layered over the zone |
| Under the chin and neck | 4.5 mm at the platysma where tissue allows, and 3.0 mm in the dermis | A full fat pad or muscle bands are not what ultrasound treats | Planned as its own zone; fat is assessed separately |
| Around the eyes and the décolletage | The superficial depth only | The eye is never in the beam path; treatment stays within the bony rim | Superficial lines only, added where the examination supports it |
The number of lines is therefore an output of the map, not a figure chosen in advance, and a line count quoted without the depths behind it cannot be compared with another plan. Response also varies with the face itself. A 2014 prospective trial of 93 evaluated patients treated with the Ulthera System found improvement in lower-face laxity in most, but no detectable change was more common in patients with a body mass index above 30. That is why suitability, and not a menu, comes first. Which face shapes suit is set out on the main Ultherapy guide.
“The line count is not the product. It is what the image tells me each zone can take, and a lean face can take none.”
Dr Sin YongOn how Ultherapy is quoted
Each Ultherapy line is placed only after the image has confirmed the target layer and full contact, and at this practice Dr Sin Yong holds the transducer for every line himself. That physician time is part of the fee. A quote for a session delivered by someone else, or run without checking the image, describes a different treatment even if the device has the same name.
Comfort also shapes the visit. Focused ultrasound is felt as heat and, at the 4.5 mm depth, as a brief deep ache, most noticeable over bone and along the jaw. A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of 42 studies of micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation reported a pooled pain score in the moderate range, with redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness that were generally mild to moderate. Analgesia is therefore discussed at consultation and provided according to the areas and your tolerance, and the delivery is paced to you rather than to a timer.
The choice of analgesia is part of the plan rather than an afterthought. A 2018 randomised, double-blinded split-face trial found that two topical anaesthetic regimens gave similar comfort during treatment, while patients still differed in how often they needed a pause. What helps one person may not suit another, which is why it is agreed before the first line rather than added on the day. What is normal afterwards is on Ultherapy aftercare and what warrants review on Ultherapy side effects.
Ultherapy tightens tissue that is lax; it does not add volume, remove fat or remove skin excess, so a plan sometimes pairs it with another mechanism, swaps it for one, or leaves it out. Dr Sin Yong performs each of the options below, so the recommendation follows the anatomy rather than the device in the room, and each part of a combined plan is itemised separately.
| Option | What it does | Suits | Not for | Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultherapy Prime | Coagulation points at 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm with the tissue imaged before each line | Laxity where seeing the depth matters, such as a thin temple or a face treated before | A lean face, hollowing, heavy fat or skin excess | Ultherapy |
| Ultraformer MPT | Focused ultrasound with depth set by cartridge, without imaging | Straightforward anatomy along the jaw and neck | Adding volume; a lean face | Ultraformer MPT |
| Thermage FLX | Monopolar radiofrequency heating the deep dermis in bulk | Laxity of the skin envelope, including the eyelids | Discrete points in the SMAS; volume loss | Thermage FLX |
| VF Lift – Vertical Facelift | Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency along vertical vectors | Lean faces, and laxity with puffiness or hollowing | Lost volume or folds of excess skin | VF Lift |
| Bliss Lift thread lift | Absorbable cog threads reposition descended tissue | Early jowling with skin that still has elasticity | Adding volume or removing skin | Bliss Lift |
Where the image or the examination shows that ultrasound is the wrong energy, the written plan says which mechanism was chosen and why the others were set aside. Significant skin excess or heavy jowls are referred to a plastic surgery specialist rather than costed as an energy treatment.
Two Ultherapy quotes can only be compared line by line: which system, which zones, which depths, who holds the transducer and whether the review is included. A figure that leaves any of these out describes a different treatment. Before booking anywhere, it is reasonable to ask:
Not on a quote at this practice: packages sold on the day, promotions, incentives for reviews or referrals, and any zone the examination does not support. A consultation can end with the advice to wait, to choose radiofrequency instead, or to have nothing at all, and that is a normal outcome. The visit takes place at the clinic on Orchard Road, Singapore, and the quote can be taken away and considered. The platforms are set side by side on Ultherapy Prime vs Ultraformer MPT vs Shurink, and when imaging earns its place on Ultherapy vs HIFU.

WhatsApp Dr Sin Yong →or use the enquiry formSingapore's rules restrict fee advertising, so no figure is given here. Ultherapy cost depends on the zones treated, which transducer depths each zone takes, how many lines the DeepSEE image calls for, physician time, any combination with radiofrequency or a thread lift, and the review. Dr Sin Yong gives a written, itemised quote after examining you, and the consultation also decides whether Ultherapy is advised at all.
Not necessarily. A lower Ultherapy figure may describe fewer zones or lines, a shallower-only plan, an older or unregistered machine, a non-imaging HIFU device, someone other than a doctor holding the transducer, or no review visit. Ask which system is used, which zones and depths are planned, whether the tissue is imaged before each line and who performs it, then compare like with like.
Ultherapy Prime is an imaging-guided platform with its own transducers, so its cost base differs from cartridge-based HIFU, and each line is placed after checking the image. That does not make it the right choice for every face. Dr Sin Yong performs both Ultherapy Prime and Ultraformer MPT, and the examination decides which suits, or whether radiofrequency is planned instead.
The number of Ultherapy lines is one input, but it is an output of the map rather than a figure chosen in advance. More zones and layered depths mean more lines, and a thin zone may take fewer. A line count without the depths and zones behind it cannot be compared with another quote, which is why the written plan names all three.
Ultherapy can be worth considering when the change is laxity of the brow, jawline, under the chin or neck in a face that has kept its volume. It is poor value for hollowing, fat or heavy skin, and Dr Sin Yong does not use it on lean faces. Response varies between people, so suitability is decided at examination before any fee is discussed.
Not at this practice. Ultherapy is quoted after examination as a written, itemised plan, with no packages sold on the day, no promotions and no incentives for reviews or referrals. A promotion fixed in advance cannot reflect how many zones or which depths a particular face needs, and the consultation may conclude that a different energy, or no treatment, is the right course.
Yes. The consultation is a medical visit with its own fee, stated when you book, and it does not oblige you to proceed. At the visit Dr Sin Yong examines the face at rest and in animation, separates laxity from volume loss and fat, and explains which mechanism fits. The written Ultherapy quote follows the examination and can be taken home.
Yes, because each part of a combined plan is itemised. Ultherapy places points at depth down to the SMAS, while Thermage FLX heats the deep dermis in bulk, so some faces are planned with both, zone by zone. Nothing is added because it is available; a combination is proposed only where the examination finds laxity in different layers.
