What Is Profhilo Structura?

Profhilo Structura is a next-generation NAHYCO® formulation from IBSA — the same manufacturer as the original Profhilo. It uses a different hybrid HA complex with greater viscosity, designed specifically for areas requiring more structural support than regular Profhilo can provide.

While regular Profhilo is optimised for the face and spreads easily through mid-dermal tissue, Profhilo Structura is formulated for areas where the skin has greater laxity and requires more targeted structural remodelling — primarily the neck, décolletage, arms, abdomen and inner thighs.

How Profhilo Structura Differs from Regular Profhilo

Viscosity: Structura is more viscous than regular Profhilo. It does not spread as broadly through tissue — it provides more localised, structural remodelling appropriate for areas of greater laxity.

Target areas: Regular Profhilo is optimised for the face (and can be used on the neck). Profhilo Structura is specifically designed for the neck, chest, arms, abdomen and areas where skin has become crepey or significantly lax.

Mechanism: Both contain NAHYCO® technology stimulating collagen and elastin production. Structura has a higher concentration of the high-molecular-weight HA fraction, providing greater structural scaffolding support during the remodelling process.

Who Benefits Most from Profhilo Structura?

Profhilo Structura is most effective for patients with crepey neck skin, décolletage laxity from sun damage, inner arm laxity, and abdominal skin changes after pregnancy or weight loss. It is not a substitute for surgical lifting in advanced cases — the realistic outcome is improved skin quality and mild tightening, not dramatic lifting.

Profhilo Structura Protocol

Like regular Profhilo, Structura is typically administered in a series of 2–3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Injection points are mapped to the specific area being treated — the neck uses different anatomical points than the face BAP protocol.
