What Are Exosomes?
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles — nanoscale packages secreted by cells — that carry bioactive cargo including growth factors, cytokines, microRNA and signalling molecules. They function as intercellular messengers that modulate inflammation, tissue repair and regeneration.
Exosomes for Skin Rejuvenation
When injected into the dermis, exosome preparations stimulate fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis, angiogenesis and skin regeneration. Applications include: post-laser recovery acceleration, photodamaged skin improvement, skin texture and luminosity enhancement, and fine line reduction.
Exosomes for Hair Loss
Exosome scalp injections deliver growth factors to hair follicles, stimulating follicle activity, prolonging the anagen phase and reducing miniaturisation. Dr Sin Yong uses exosome scalp injections as a component of both male and female hair loss protocols — alongside Luminescence Laser and medical treatment.
Exosomes vs. PRP
Both aim to deliver growth factors to target tissue. PRP uses the patient's own blood-derived platelets; exosomes use cell-derived vesicles from allogenic sources. Exosome preparations offer more standardised, concentrated and consistent growth factor profiles than PRP.
Safety
Dr Sin Yong uses only regulated, clinically validated exosome preparations from established manufacturers. Safety profile is excellent when appropriate preparations are used.

Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles carrying growth factors and proteins. Applied to skin or injected, they stimulate skin regeneration, collagen production and hair follicle activity.
3–6 sessions for skin rejuvenation, spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Monthly sessions for hair restoration, then maintenance every 3 months.
Plant-derived exosome preparations have a good safety profile. Dr Sin Yong uses clinically validated exosome products, including Derive Serum (exosome scalp topical) in his regenerative protocols.
Yes — exosomes are particularly effective when combined with laser or microneedling, accelerating post-treatment healing and enhancing collagen stimulation.
