Secret DUO on the body: where RF microneedling fits in the 4K Body Lift

The same insulated-needle radiofrequency that treats scars and pores on the face is used on the body in Dr Sin Yong’s practice, as one component of the 4K Body Lift, his high-definition body sculpting protocol on the Secret DUO platform. On the body the question is rarely texture alone. It is skin that has lost its tension after weight change or pregnancy, stretch marks that have matured, and areas where fat reduction has left the surface loose. Short answerSecret DUO delivers bipolar radiofrequency through insulated microneedles at a set depth, heating the dermis while sparing the surface. In the 4K Body Lift it is the skin-tightening and texture component, used for laxity after weight change, mature stretch marks and crepey skin on the abdomen, arms and thighs. The protocol is radiofrequency only, with no electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Dr Sin Yong performs it himself.

What the needling component does on the body
Insulated microneedles carry bipolar radiofrequency into the dermis and release it at the tip, so the heat lands where collagen is made and the surface is largely spared (Chandra, J Cutan Aesthet Surg 2024). On the body the dermis is thicker than on the face, which is why the deeper end of the needle range is used, and why the body is treated in mapped zones rather than as one field. A systematic review of 41 studies of fractional microneedle RF describes the device-level parameters that matter: depth, insulation and energy profile (Kumar, Aesthetic Plast Surg 2026).

Where it sits in the 4K Body Lift
The 4K Body Lift is Dr Sin Yong’s high-definition body sculpting protocol on the Secret DUO platform. It is radiofrequency only; it does not use EMS or electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Within it, the needling pass is the component that works on skin tension and surface texture, and it is combined with the platform’s fractional RF mode for broader tightening. Fat reduction, where that is the main problem, is a separate decision and may involve Onda Pro or fat freezing instead.

Who it suits
Skin that has lost its tension after weight change or pregnancy on the abdomen, upper arms and inner thighs; stretch marks that have matured to the white, atrophic stage; and crepey texture where fat reduction has already been done. Pinpoint bleeding, redness, swelling and tenderness for a few days; rarely tracking marks, pigment change or infection. Darker skin is treated with insulated needles and conservative energy, which published reviews associate with a lower pigmentation risk than ablative devices (Syder, Dermatol Surg 2023).
