Skin tag removal cost in Singapore is set by what the examination finds: how many tags there are and where, the size of each and its base, the method chosen for each one, whether anything needs histology, and the review. Singapore's rules restrict fee advertising, so no figure appears here. Dr Sin Yong gives a written quote after examining you on Orchard Road.

Singapore's rules on medical advertising restrict how doctors publish fees, and a skin tag removal figure given before examination cannot know how many tags there are, where they sit or whether each one is a tag at all. A skin tag, or acrochordon, is a small fold of loose collagen and blood vessels on a stalk, covered by normal skin. Not everything on a stalk is a tag: raised moles, viral warts and seborrhoeic keratoses can look similar, and the method, or whether removal should happen at all, follows from the diagnosis.
So the quote is written after each lesion has been examined. It sets out the number to be treated in the visit and the method for each, it can be taken home, and no decision is asked for on the spot. The consultation is a medical visit with its own fee, stated when you book. The practice-wide rules are on how fees are quoted, and raised moles and other lesions are costed on mole removal cost factors.
The number of tags and the sites involved shape skin tag removal cost more than anything else, because a single neck tag and a cluster spread across the neck, underarms and groin are different undertakings in time, local anaesthetic and aftercare. The number treated in one visit is agreed at assessment rather than assumed.

| Presentation | How it is planned | What changes the plan |
|---|---|---|
| A single tag on the neck | Confirmed, then removed by the method that suits its base | Little, unless the tag is not behaving like a tag |
| A cluster of fine tags along the neck | Removed in a sequence across the cluster rather than one at a time over many visits | How many are treated in the visit, chosen so healing points stay small and uniform |
| Underarms, groin and under the bust | The same methods, with attention to keeping moist folds clean in a humid climate | Several sites in one visit, and friction during healing |
| Eyelid or lash margin | Protective shield where needed, finest instrument, lowest effective setting | More time and care; anything not typical on the eyelid is diagnosed first |
| A broad base or thick stalk | The base is sealed with electrosurgery or CO2 laser rather than simply snipped | A thick stalk can carry a larger vessel than expected |
Eyelid tags take the most finesse because the skin is thin, the eye sits beneath and a mark is more visible there than anywhere else. How the different sites are approached is described on skin tag removal.
“Removing a tag is the quick part. Deciding it is a tag is the part I will not skip, and the quote has to allow for it.”
Dr Sin YongOn how skin tag removal is quoted
The method is matched to the size of the tag, the breadth of its base and where it sits, and all three methods are done under local anaesthesia in clinic. Snip excision suits fine and medium tags on a narrow stalk; electrosurgery or radiofrequency suits small tags and those with a vessel in the stalk; CO2 laser ablation suits broader-based tags and sites where precision matters, such as near the eyelid margin. A neck cluster may use more than one method in the same visit.
A laser is not automatically the better choice, and that is why the method, not the device, is what the quote should name. A 2025 randomised, observer-blinded trial treated 1,257 skin tags on the neck and underarms in 68 patients, half by scissor excision and half by a non-ablative 532 nm laser. Scissor excision healed more often by 12 weeks and was rated less painful, while the laser was quicker to perform but caused more redness and pigment change, and most patients preferred scissors for future treatment. In Fitzpatrick III to V skin a dark mark after a procedure is the main cosmetic risk, so the gentlest method that suits the base is chosen. How a CO2 laser is used for lesions is on CO2 laser.
Each lesion is confirmed as a typical tag before anything is removed, and anything firm, pigmented, growing or bleeding without friction is examined under the dermatoscope first and sent for histology if it is removed. Histology is a laboratory step, so it appears on the quote only where the examination calls for it. A tag that has been tied, burnt or frozen at home is examined before it is treated again.
Numerous new tags prompt a short conversation about general health, because multiple tags are associated with weight gain, pregnancy and insulin resistance. A 2014 case-control study of 110 people with two or more skin tags and 110 matched controls found diabetes, insulin resistance and raised blood lipids more often in the group with tags. That conversation is part of the consultation, not an added charge, and where it fits a check with your family doctor is suggested.
A review is arranged where a site needs checking or where more tags remain to be treated. Aftercare in broad terms, which is the same for tags and other lesions, is on lesion removal aftercare.
A per-tag figure seen elsewhere may describe the snip of one small neck tag; it may not cover an eyelid tag, a broad base sealed by laser, the dermatoscope check or histology. Two skin tag removal quotes can therefore describe quite different work. Before booking anywhere, it is reasonable to ask:
Home kits, creams and tying a tag off are not cheaper versions of the same thing: a thick stalk can bleed, and a lesion that is not a tag loses the information a diagnosis would need, as the skin tag removal guide explains. Not on a quote at this practice: packages, promotions, incentives for reviews, and removal of any lesion that has not been examined. The visit takes place at the clinic on Orchard Road, Singapore, and the option of no treatment is always on the table.

Skin tag removal cost depends on how many tags are treated and where, the size and base of each, the method chosen, whether the eyelid is involved, whether histology is needed and the review. Dr Sin Yong confirms each lesion as a tag and gives a written quote before anything is agreed.
A per-tag figure is rarely comparable, because one small neck tag and an eyelid tag or a broad-based tag sealed by laser involve different work. At this practice the skin tag removal quote follows the examination: the number to be treated in the visit, the sites, the method for each and any histology are set out in writing.
A polyclinic or family doctor can examine any lesion you are unsure about. Removal of a confirmed harmless skin tag for cosmetic reasons is generally done at a private clinic, where the method is matched to the size, the base and the site. Anything that does not behave like a tag should be examined first, wherever it is removed.
Eyelid skin tags sit on thin skin over the eye, and a mark there is more visible than anywhere else. They are removed with a protective shield where needed, the finest instrument that suits the base and the lowest effective setting, and a lesion at the lash margin is approached so the lashes are left intact. That extra care is reflected in the plan.
Only where it is needed. A typical skin tag does not need a laboratory report, but anything firm, pigmented, growing or bleeding is examined under the dermatoscope first and, if removed, sent for histology. Where that applies, the laboratory step is named on the written quote before anything is done.
Removal treats the tags that are present, but the friction and the tendency that made them remain, so new tags can form at nearby sites over the years. A removed tag rarely regrows at the same spot. New tags are examined and planned when they appear, and no package commits you to visits in advance.
