Types of Non-Surgical Body Contouring
Three primary energy modalities are used for non-surgical fat reduction in Singapore: radiofrequency (RF) energy, which heats fat to induce apoptosis; cryolipolysis (fat freezing), which freezes fat; and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), which disrupts fat cells with focused sound energy. Each has different mechanisms, target depths and indications.
4K Body Lift — Precision RF
Dr Sin Yong's 4K Body Lift uses precision RF energy delivered to point zones of compact, resistant fat — tummy, waist, thighs and arms. RF increases local metabolism and reduces the target area by 15–20% per session. Results from 3 days, improving over 6 weeks. Protocol: 1–3 sessions × 6 weeks apart. Permanent results.
RF vs. Fat Freezing
RF body contouring heats fat gradually and can target compact, dense fat deposits with precision, simultaneously tightening overlying skin. Fat freezing works best on pinchable fat with adequate tissue thickness and is less effective on fibrotic or compact fat. Both are non-surgical; neither approaches liposuction in the degree of fat reduction achievable.
Who Is Suitable?
Non-surgical body contouring is for patients at or near their goal weight with localised, resistant fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss treatment.
Realistic Expectations
Body contouring produces meaningful improvement in treated areas — not dramatic total body transformation. The goal is reduction of specific resistant fat zones, improved contour and skin tightening.

Non-surgical body contouring targets specific localised fat deposits rather than overall body weight. Patients should be close to their ideal weight with specific resistant fat concerns.
Liposuction removes large volumes surgically. 4K Body Lift targets compact resistant fat with RF — achieving 15–20% reduction per zone per session without surgery.
Permanent — treated fat cells are eliminated and do not regenerate. Remaining fat cells can expand with significant weight gain.
Yes and it is recommended. Body contouring works best on patients who are close to their ideal weight with specific resistant pockets. Diet and exercise address overall weight; contouring addresses the resistant zones that do not respond to these measures.
