Volume Restoration

Volume Restoration | Facial Restoration Treatment

Why Facial Restoration?

As we age, losing volume in our face is inevitable. Many factors contribute to these such as resorption of bone, loss of facial fats, shrinking of our facial muscles coupled with laxity of skin.

Eventually, it leads to a loss of support and all the facial features tend to droop downwards, causing us unsightly lines and areas of hollowing.

HA filler stands for hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in our body and its main function is to keep tissues moist and lubricated.

However, Advanced Dermal Fillers like Radiesse and Ellanse give better results with less risk of migration and abnormal bulges over time.

Understanding Radiesse

Radiesse is an advanced dermal filler commonly used to treat facial hollows and depressions. It is composed of calcium-hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier of carboxymethylcellulose. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a natural substance in the body, making Radiesse a biocompatible and non-toxic option for facial enhancement.

Understanding Ellanse

Ellanse, an advanced dermal filler, operates through a unique mechanism that differentiates it from traditional hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Its composition is key to its effectiveness, primarily featuring polycaprolactone (PCL), a bioresorbable polymer.

How does Radiesse & Ellanse work?

  • Composition: The key component of Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral-like compound found in bones. The microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite are mixed with a gel carrier. Ellanse is formulated with tiny PCL microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. PCL is a biocompatible and biodegradable substance used in various medical applications.
  • Injection Process: Dr Sin Yong injects Radiesse and Ellanse into the targeted areas of the face using a fine needle. The injection process is relatively quick and can often be performed in a clinical setting.
  • Immediate Correction: Upon injection, Radiesse and Ellanse provides an immediate volumizing effect. The gel carrier adds volume to the treated area, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and folds.
  • Stimulation of Collagen Production: One distinctive feature of Radiesse and Ellanse is its ability to stimulate the natural production of collagen. Collagen is a protein that provides structure to the skin. As the gel carrier is gradually absorbed by the body, the calcium-hydroxylapatite or polycaprolactone microspheres stimulate the production of new collagen. This helps to maintain the enhanced volume and provides a longer-lasting effect.
  • Dynamic Improvement of Results: Immediate improvements are noted in the treated areas, with continued enhancement over the following weeks as collagen production increases. The results can last significantly, with interindividual variation.
